Passing through Nai Yang Beach, one charging station we recommend is Phuket Marriott Naiyang Beach. This resort is located on a very flat and wide sandy beach, perfect for sitting and looking at the Andaman Sea from its Big Fish restaurant. For those unfamiliar with this Beach, Nai Yang is one of the most beautiful sunset spots on Phuket Island. You can watch the plane landing during peak season quite closely. This area is close to the national park; thus, you can still discover the local way of life during the day, from the morning fisherman market to the afternoon picnic around the area.

Open Kitchen at Laguna Phuket
This newly opened outlet is opposite the Cassia Phuket Hotel in the Canal Village area. This is an open-air outlet with a gorgeous garden and a lake view. An open kitchen is more than just a place to get healthy food.

The most chilling charging point in front of Kamala Beach that you can’t resist is here. InterContinental Phuket Hotel has both EA Anywhere – AC type 2 and CCS Combo charging points available. But, regardless of your charging method, if you come to chill here, 2-3 hours may not be enough to discover this Instagram โ worthy place.
333 at the Beach is a fresh new outlet that recently debuted. It serves drinks and offers a Beach Grill cuisine in front of Kamala Beach, next to Pine Beach Bar. The ideal place to catch the sunset.
Dewa Lounge can be found on the right side of the lobby. This is perfect for afternoon tea in a calm, air-conditioned setting. It’s served in a stylish birdcage with Intercon’s exclusive Signature Blend tea, which is a must-try.

The Royal Phuket City

Lay Pang Beach: This is one of our favorite beaches as it is easy to access. Since I was a child, no matter what season it is in the morning or evening, Lay Phang Beach still has a unique atmosphere at any time of the day. And because this Beach is close to the charging point in Laguna Phuket that we visited, you can just come by and chill at one of the chic beachfront bars during sunset, just 3 minutes away from the charging station.ย
Kamala Beach is one of the long beaches in Phuket on the west coast that has a very romantic vibe during sunset, where we can get various access from the main road.
Kalim Beach is the end of Patong Beach before entering the Kamala area. You could have a beautiful view of Patong Bay during the day or sunset. We can stop by the roadside or find our favorite restaurant on the Beach, either street food, a re-known outlet, or even the Michelin guide restaurant for a romantic meal; there are plenty of options.
Phuket Town During this time, there are a lot of tourists with a vibrant atmosphere and weather. In addition to the old Phuket town. Phang Nga Road is another spot that should not be missed. We love this road during the day and at night. With local restaurants, international cuisine, dessert shops, stylish coffee shops, and most importantly, a museum and many excellent art galleries by local artists are available. Find a parking space and then go for a leisurely stroll; Phang-Nga road is a worth-visiting spot for art and gastronomy discoverers.
About AC and DC charging options;
The electricity that many Acquaintances are divided into two main categories.
1. Alternating Current (AC – Alternating Current) is the utilities’ infrastructure electricity. AC charging will run through the On-Board Charger inside the electric vehicle. To convert the power from alternating to direct current and then charge the car battery.
AC chargers are divided into 2 types:
โข AC Type 1, which has a voltage of 250 volts
โข AC Type 2 can be further divided into 2 types which are 1 Phase which has a voltage of 250 Volts and 3 Phase which has a voltage of 480 Volts.
All types of AC chargers take 4-15 hours to charge, depending on the size of the battery.
2. Direct current (DC – Direct Current) charges direct current directly into the battery in the car without having to go through the On-Board Charger; suitable for quick charging, fast charging takes less time than AC charging
DC chargers are divided into 2 types:
โข DC CHAdeMO with a voltage of 600 V
โข DC Combined Charging System can be divided into 2 types: CCS Type 1 which has a voltage of 600 volts, and CCS Type 2 which has a voltage of 1,000 volts.
All DC chargers take 40-60 minutes, depending on the size of the battery.
Charging Fee:
The average price starts at 4.50 baht/kWh and in some applications, there will be on-peak / off-peak fees applied. Some applications will charge per hour depending on the application. Currently, there are about 5 applications in Phuket to choose from.
And if it’s a Benz charging point, it would be complimentary for Benz users.
Remarks:
- The EV Charger cabinet (electric vehicle charger) will have both AC and DC types.
- The type of charger will depend on the car manufacturer’s design
