BANG KOO SHRINE

History:

The Sam Pai Kong Shrine, also known as Bangku Shrine, is a shrine that is over 100 years old. It was constructed by Chinese who lived in the Bangku area. They created a replica of Sam Pai Kong. It was originally a shrine with a zinc roof and zinc walls, on the land concession of Khun Lertt Phokarak. Later, it was given to the Lun Seng mine. After the construction of the shrine, the inhabitants, who were devoted to it, brought in deities whom they revered and respected. They created replicas and presented them to the shrine.

The deity Sam Kai Kong means the one who enlightened the heaven, earth, and water. However, over time, the name Sam Kai Kong has been changed to Sam Pai Kong.
