การแข่งขันเรือใบชิงถ้วยพระราชทาน Phuket King’s Cup Regatta 2021

The Organizing Committee of the Phuket King’s Cup Regatta is regrettably informing sailors that based on the current uncertainty regarding international travel, quarantine requirements, host hotel temporary closure and increased infections of COVOD-19 worldwide, that the 34th Phuket King’s Cup Regatta will be postponed until 2021.

This decision was based on the view that the health and safety of our sailors is a top priority. Additionally, the PKCR has traditionally been an international event which at present is not possible. In today’s environment, with quarantine restrictions and too many uncertainties hosting the event was not possible.

We hope to host a scaled down 34th Phuket King’s Cup Regatta in the first quarter of 2021 and the 35th PKCR between December 4th to 12th 2021.

We would like to thank our Royal Patron His Majesty the King of Thailand, previous participants and sponsors for continuing to support the PKCR. We appreciate all the time and effort that has gone into preparing for participation in the event and racing in the Regatta.

The Royal Varuna Yacht Club, the Yacht Racing Association of Thailand and the PKCR Organizing Committee remain committed to hosting a limited 34th Regatta soon and the 35th in December 2021.

การแข่งขันเรือใบชิงถ้วยพระราชทาน “ภูเก็ตคิงส์คัพรีกัตต้า” ครั้งที่ ๓๔

เนื่องด้วยสถานการณ์การแพร่ระบาดของโรคไวรัสโคโรนาสายพันธุ์ใหม่ ๒๐๑๙ (COVID-19) ที่ส่งผลกระทบรุนแรงไปทั่วโลก ซึ่งส่งผลกระทบทั้งกับเดินทางระหว่างประเทศ การปิดตัวของโรงแรมเป็นการชั่วคราว และระยะเวลากักตัวเฝ้าระวังเพื่อรอผลทดสอบโรค ทางคณะกรรมการจัดการแข่งขันภูเก็ตคิงส์คัพรีกัตต้าจึงมีความจำเป็นต้องเลื่อนการแข่งขันไปในปี ๒๕๖๔ โดยคำนึงถึงความปลอดภัยเป็นสำคัญ

จากสถานการณ์ไม่เอื้ออำนวยดังกล่าว ทำให้การจัดการแข่งขันฯ ในปีนี้จะเป็นการแข่งขันภายในประเทศ ซึ่งทางคณะกรรมการฯ คาดหมายว่าการแข่งขันฯ “ภูเก็ตคิงส์คัพรีกัตต้า” ครั้งที่ ๓๔ จะจัดขึ้นในต้นปี ๒๕๖๔ และจะสามารถจัดการแข่งขันฯ “ภูเก็ตคิงส์คัพรีกัตต้า” ครั้งที่ ๓๕ ได้ภายในเดือน ธันวาคม ๒๕๖๔ อีกครั้งหนึ่ง

ทางคณะกรรมการจัดการแข่งขันฯ มีความปีติยินดีเป็นล้นพ้นที่การแข่งขันเรือใบชิงถ้วยพระราชทานภูเก็ตคิงส์คัพรีกัตต้า ได้รับพระมหากรุณาธิคุณจาก พระบาทสมเด็จพระปรเมนทรรามาธิบดีศรีสินทรมหาวชิราลงกรณ พระวชิรเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัว ที่ทรงเป็นองค์อุปถัมภ์ต่อการแข่งขันฯ เสมอมา รวมถึงผู้เข้าแข่งขันและผู้สนับสนุนต่าง ๆ ที่ทำให้เกิดการแข่งขันนี้

สโมสรเรือใบราชวรุณ ในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์ ร่วมกับกองทัพเรือ และสมาคมกีฬาแข่งเรือใบแห่งประเทศไทย ในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์ และจังหวัดภูเก็ต ยังพร้อมที่จัดการแข่งขัน “ภูเก็ตคิงส์คัพรีกัตต้า” ครั้งที่ ๓๔ และ ครั้งที่ ๓๕ และหวังเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่าจะได้พบท่านที่ภูเก็ตในการแข่งขันประจำปี ๒๕๖๔
