I am a teacher from Indonesia who love travelling to the exotic places in South East Asia.  I planned to visit Phuket and nearby cities since last year.  Before coming here, I searched for some more information about Thailand and many tourist attraction places from Lonely Planet guide book and the websites concerned.  Also received some suggestions from my Thai friends who have been in Phuket for many years.

I arrived Phuket about 10 days ago. This is my first time here.  I would spend two weeks in the down town, beach and around. The days before, I went to Ban Khanaen, one of the cultural villages where is famous of “Nora” Dance Training. It’s a small village in Thalang district where is not far from Phuket down town.  I stayed over there for 3 days and 2 nights at the Head Villager’s home.   The living style of the local people was very interesting and attractive.  The people there were very helpful and nice.  They asked me to try some kinds of local food that’s quite hot and spicy.  However, I liked the fish dishes that were very delicious because of the fresh ingredients.  Whilst being there,   I had a chance to practice the “Nora” Dance with some children and I felt very happy of doing that with all of them.

I think Phuket is a perfect place to visit.  I enjoyed the sun bathing, swimming, sight-seeing and eating throughout last week.
