If you are getting thirsty walking around Phuket Town in summer, try Phuket style sweet called Oh Aew, the sweet that you would never find elsewhere in Thailand.
Oh Aew is a jelly made from cultivated banana and Oh Aew seeds. Oh Aew is the first choice of sweet that people think of in summer, since it is served in crushed ice topped with boiled red beans and red syrup. It sounds really refreshing and sweet, doesn’t it? Now let’s find where we can try the sweet in Phuket Town.
There are 3 Oh Aew shops located near Yaowaraj Rd. – Dibuk Intersection. The first one is original Oh Aew shop located in Soon U-tid Lane. The next one is Ko Roj’s Oh Aew shop located opposite Soon U-tid Lane. Apart from Oh Aew, Ko Roj’s also offers icy root beer, orange juice, lemonade and other cool soft drinks. And the last one is in Lok Tain Food Center located on the other side of Ko Roj’s shop. This shop closes every Tuesday.
