July 14th is Bastille Day and Phuket’s French community celebrated this French National Day at Royal Phawadee Village on Patong Beach.

More than 200 people gathered to enjoy the evening and to sample Chef Christian’s ‘Buffet al la Francaise’ featuring typical French dishes and to enjoy free-flowing French wines.

Accordion music from Dominique Bodin created a French ambience that was enhanced by a lavish display of Les Tricolors flags and banners and red, white and blue balloons.

After the giant Lucky Draw for prizes donated by generous sponsors and a spectacular fireworks display there was enthusiastic dancing that went on into the early hours to the music of Jimmy and Anne of Le Déjà Vu.  A very good time was had by all!

This year all the French community has the chance to celebrate July 14th, the French national day, at Café de France of Patong Beach.

With his accordion, Dominique Bodin will make us swing and recall the warm ambiance of the July 14th of our native France.

A gargantuan buffet will be prepared by our Chef Christian and his team; free flow of red, white and rose wine during the party.

Jimmy and his band Le Déjà-vu are going to set fire on the dance floor during the evening with songs and surprises.

Many of our sponsors showed themselves to very generous and a giant lucky draw will be held with many prizes.

And as everything good thing ends by songs, you will make your partner waltz on a dance floor, especially set up for this occasion.

Finally, kids and adults will admire the traditional and expected fireworks which will make this evening unforgettable.

The luxury Hotel Royal Phawadee Village sits in a quiet oasis of calm in the heart of Patong Beach, Phuket. Our rooms and Thai-style pavilions are placed strategically throughout the resort leaving open spaces for our exotic Thai flora to flourish. The fronds of tall stately palm trees, towering over 100 feet high as they reach for the sky, offer shade as you stroll around our gardens. Winding paths take you to grassy areas where you can sit and relax. A pond full of tiny fish is a water feature to be treasured. At night, walking in the illuminated grounds is like being in a magic garden in Thailand.

For sun-worshippers there is a large swimming pool to relax in and cool off – we also offer a full range of massage services at poolside.

Our dedication to all things typical of Thailand does not end in the outdoors as the design and décor of our main buildings, bedrooms and pavilions reflect the tradition, culture and character of the Kingdom of Thailand with its long history of independence and majestic grandeur.

We pride ourselves on the quality of service our staff gives to our customers at all levels of interaction from Reception to the French and Thai Restaurants, to the Room Attendants, to the Kitchen brigade. Their job satisfaction comes from giving the exceptional service you would expect to receive in Thailand – the Land of Smiles. We may not be the largest Phuket hotel but in terms of value for money there are few to equal us. And only 200 metres from Patong Beach.

The Thai/French-owned Hotel Royal Phawadee Village is part of the Crissey Group of companies which include major interests in the Dive industry, with two live-a-board boats, Mermaid 1 and Mermaid 2, operating in the Andaman Sea and out of Bali in Indonesia.

Our combined French and Thai heritage offers a unique ambience for a delightful holiday in an international resort at very affordable prices.
