Rawai Is located 17 Kilometers away from the city. You will see a fishing village on the left of the beach. On the beach itself, there are boats for hire where visitors can rent them out for the day to islands such as Koh Hey, Koh Bon, Koh Raya and Koh Kaew Pisadan. The beaches are shallow with no strong wind or big waves, making it suitable for swimming.Dont miss shopping at Rawai Market is a popular location, near the beach on the south eastern tip of Phuket Island. Here you can find a tasty selection of freshly caught seafood such as lobster, mussel and crab. Grouper, giant perch, parrotfish, triggerfish, and many other types of tropical fish can also be bought here.

Seafood lovers and chefs from famous restaurants often visit this market to buy their seafood ingredients. All the food is freshly delivered each morning and throughout the day by long-tail fishing boats.  All of the fish and seafood here is caught using the traditional fishing methods of the Sea Gypsy community that resides in the area around the market.

As well as buying fresh ingredients from the sea, we can see the unique way of life of the Rawai Sea Gypsies. If you want to support the Sea Gypsy community, help by buying seafood in the market or their quality handmade mementos crafted from sea shells. ทำให้ เราได้สัมผัสกับวิถีชีวิต ของชาวพื้นเมือง ที่ยังคงทำการค้า ไม่ว่าจะเป็นของที่ระลึก ที่ทำจากเปลือกหอย  และ อาหารทะเล ราคาสินค้าที่ราไวย์ จะถูกกว่าท้องตลาด และสามารถต่อรองราคากันได้ ยิ่งซื้อเยอะ ชาวบ้านก็จะทั้งลดและแถม ได้บรรยากาศสนุกสนาน  มีชีวิตชีวา   อีกหนึ่งวิถีชีวิตของคนไทยที่ต้องลอง
