Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket gears up for Laguna Phuket International Marathon 2013 Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket will again,in collaboration with the Laguna Phuket Resort Complex,participate in the 2013 Laguna Phuket International Marathon “Run Paradise”on Sunday June 9th, 2013. Dusit Thani Launa Phuket volunteers will support the First Aid stations on the race day and cheer on seven colleagues who have signed up for therace. This year’s event features a 42k marathon, 21.1km half marathon, 10km run, 5km community walk and a 2km kid’s run. The start line for races is at Laguna Grove, then the course headsto the north of the island, through local villages, past rubber and pineapple plantations, picturesque lagoons and idyllic island views.

This year’s athletes are raising funds for the Laguna Phuket Foundation which supports educational and social development, marine and natural environment conservation, emergency relief and “Fully Booked,” a mobile learning centre. The aim is to collect THB 1 million per year to support these charitable programmes. Summer Family Festival atDusit Thani Laguna Phuket Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket, in cooperation with Laguna Phuket resort complex, joins the ‘2013 Summer Family Festival’, featuring programmes and privileges designed exclusively for children.
The sixth-month carnival of fun, benefits and added value for all Laguna hotel guests is designed to satisfy both parents and our VIKs (Very Important Kids). It commences on 15th May and runs until the end of October 2013.
The highlight of the Summer Family Festival is from 29th June to 31st August, when Laguna Phuket’s Latitude Marquee, at the heart of the resort complex, is transformed into a carnival playground. A BBQ Beer Tent will provide parents a place to socialise and relax whilst their children enjoy themselves making new friends at the Marquee’s bouncy castle, trampoline and kids lounge. Festival attractions planned during the two months also include art classes with an Artist-in-Residence, Zumba fitness sessions, themed parties and more.
This year, the Kids Fun Zone Team will serve up afternoons of sports skills, cooking lessons, adventure and education activities, golf excursions and outings to an amusement park and Xtreme Adventures at the weekend with a minimum charge to be applied.
Whilst at Laguna Phuket, children will enjoy free unlimited courses from the kid’s menus including drinks, golf lessons and selected tour programmes when accompanied by a paying adult. Underwater Debris & Beach Cleanup Day Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket, led by Resident Manager, Khun Natalie Kamolwattanasoontorn and staffs in collaboration with Cherng Talay Sub district Administrative Organization and Department of Marine and Coastal Resources for ‘Underwater Debris & Beach Cleanup day of Bang Tao Bay” on last 29 April. The campaign is held in order to encourage both locals and tourists to keep Cherng Talay’s famous attraction clean.
