Tang Len Beach or Pu Mod Daeng Beach is known as the biggest house of Pu Mod Daeng in Thailand. A beautiful green seaweed field can also be found.

Arriving at low tide on a bright sunshine day, it’s a perfect time to see an army of Pu Mod Daeng parading out of their holes.

Only 3-4 sunny days at low tide, Pu Mod Daeng will climb out of their holes to the beach twice a month.  Please check the weather and date of high tide and low tide in advance, otherwise you will miss the great opportunity to see Pu Mod Daeng

When more than 10,000 small-sized Pu Mod Deang walking along the beach,  a long mild red colour line can be seen on a white sandy beach looking much like a row of red ants climbing on a bunch of mangoes.  So amazing !!!

Believe it or not, in the old days, it was told that gold can be found  beneath the ground where Pu Mod Deang live.  But one thing for sure is the fun-filled experience of chasing Pu Mod Daeng.

Congratulations to the local people who are given a prompt right by nature to take care  and protect Pu Mod Daeng, a small animal that is rarely found in Thailand.

Not far from Tang Len (Pu Mod Daeng) Beach, we arrive at Marui Canal and Sai Ron (Hot Sand) Beach which was originated by a tectonic plate.  During the low tide, hot sea, sand and mud can be experienced here.

Furthermore, various kinds of mineral that are good for health can be found in the hot mud which is believed to help heal Beriberi and muscle pains. Many elder people here are seen walking in the mud paddle which they believe is a “Natural Spa in Thailand”.

We, therefore, decided to do a foot spa by placing our feet beneath the hot mud.  It was unbelievable. After cleaning, all muscle pains and weakness were all gone. This is a miracle of nature indeed.

เที่ยวหาดปูมดแดง แล้วแวะลุยโคลน ที่หาดทรายร้อน ณ หมู่บ้าน โคกไคร

หาดตั้งเลน หรือมีชื่อเรียกอีกชื่อหนึ่งว่า หาดปูมดแดง เป็นสถานที่ที่มีปูมดแดงอาศัยอยู่ชุกชุมมากที่สุดในประเทศไทย อีกทั้งยังเป็นทุ่งสาหร่ายที่งดงามเขียวขจี

เรามาถึงหาดนี้ในวันที่น้ำลงพอดี  แถมยังมีแสงแดดเจิดจ้า  ก็เลยโชคดีมีโอกาสได้เห็นกองทัพปูมดแดง ที่ออกจากรูมาให้พวกเราได้ยลโฉมกัน

แค่ 3-4 วัน ช่วงน้ำลง และต้องเป็นวันที่มีแดดดีด้วยนะ  ถึงจะมีโอกาสงามๆได้เห็นปูมดแดงแบบนี้แค่ 2 ครั้ง ใน 1 เดือน   เพราะฉะนั้น  ก่อนจะมาเที่ยวที่นี่  ขอแนะนำว่าให้ตรวจสอบเรื่องวันและเวลาน้ำขึ้น น้ำลงให้ดีเสียก่อน

ปูมดแดงมีขนาดเล็กมาก  เวลาวิ่งกรูออกมาจากรูเป็นหมื่นๆแสนๆตัวตามชายหาด  จะเห็นเป็นแนวยาวสีแดงเรื่อๆบนหาดทรายสีขาวบริสุทธิ์  ดูคล้ายๆกับแถวของตัวมดแดงที่แฝงพวงมะม่วงยังไงยังงั้นเลย    น่าทึ่งจริงๆ

คนโบราณเชื่อกันว่า  ที่ใดมีปูมดแดงอาศัยอยู่  ที่นั่นในแผ่นดินจะมีทอง  จริงหรือเปล่าไม่รู้  แต่ที่รู้แน่ๆก็คือว่า การวิ่งไล่จับปูมดแดง มีแต่ความสุขและสนุกสนานเท่านั้นค่ะ

ดีใจแทนชาวบ้านที่นี่  ที่ได้รับสิทธิ์จากธรรมชาติให้เป็นผู้ดูแลและคุ้มครองปูมดแดง สัตว์ตัวเล็กๆที่หาดูได้ยาก  และพบอยู่ในไม่กี่พื้นที่ในประเทศไทย

ไม่ใกลจากหาดตั้งเลน เราก็มาถึงคลองมะรุ่ย มีหาดทรายร้อน  ซึ่งเกิดจากรอยแยกของเปลือกโลก  เวลาน้ำลง จะทำให้บริเวณนี้เกิดน้ำทะเลร้อน  ทรายร้อนและโคลนร้อน  แบบออลอินวัน

ที่ไม่ธรรมดาคือ มีแร่ธาตุหลายตัวที่มีประโยชน์ต่อสุขภาพรวมกันอยู่ภายใต้โคลนร้อน ชาวบ้านแถวนี้ใช้เป็นที่บำบัดโรคเหน็บชา ปวดเมื่อย เห็นผู้ใหญ่หลายคนพากันเดินย่ำโคลนไปมา ถามไถ่ได้ความว่า  ทำให้หายเมื่อยได้จริง  อ้อ..ที่เขาเรียกว่า “สปาธรรมชาติ” ของเมืองไทย อยู่ตรงนี้นี่เอง

เราก็เลยตัดสินใจทำ “สปาเท้า” โดยการลุยเอาเท้าฝังลงไปในโคลนร้อน ไม่น่าเชื่อว่า   เมื่อล้างโคลนออกแล้ว  เท้าเบาสบายหายเหนื่อย เมื่อยล้าได้จริงๆ  นี่แหละ ! มหัศจรรย์ของธรรมชาติ ล่ะ
