We appreciate the opportunity to continue collaborating with the Six Senses Sanctuary Phuket, Thailand. All programmes are taught by experienced and highly qualified yoga teacher Julien Balmer. Having recognized the importance of stress-free, serene, and inspiring environments, AYH carefully sought out hospitality partners to collaborate with on a wide variety of life-enriching Yoga and Yoga-related holiday packages, ranging from week-long yoga retreats and full-immersion workshops to weekend intensives and private classes. All programmes are taught by experienced and highly qualified teacher Julien Balmer, who – together with the facilitators at the host resort – is sure to provide a supportive environment, cater to your needs and live up to your high expectations. May your personal journey towards enhanced health, greater well-being, and inner growth be blessed. 3-DAY YOGA RETREAT: SATURDAY 18 DECEMBER – MONDAY 20 DECEMBER, THB 30,000 The Yoga Retreat This exclusive yoga retreat at one of South-East Asia’s premier Destination Spas offers a potent blend of 5 hours daily yoga & meditation practice, delicious healthy eating at the Six Senses Slow Food Restaurant and a daily complimentary massage treatment at the award-winning in-house spa. As a result of this full immersion experience, dormant energies will awaken and help you tap your full potential. Whether you are a complete novice or more seasoned yoga practitioner, this 3-day yoga retreat is a great opportunity to learn and experience what traditional Hatha- and Kundalini-Yoga is all about. This variety of Yoga differs from many of the dynamic, aerobic-like modern forms of “Yoga” in that it works on the circulation of energy in the body, the awareness of energies and the chakras, and thus the ability to feel, move and control energy within oneself is being trained. It is based on the ancient shastras (scriptures) and stresses the importance of proper mental focus during the yoga practice. This multidimensional approach to the yoga practice generates a harmonious development in the practitioner, from physical and energy development to emotional, mental, and last but not least spiritual development. The emphasis is on the practice, but explanations & theory will be given to assure a correct understanding of the underlying mechanics at work. Group size is limited to 12 people only. By keeping this retreat small and personal we ensure that each participant gets sufficient individual attention both on and off the yoga mat. This Yoga Retreat includes: • Initial private consultation with the retreat leader • Two daily group hatha yoga classes (2 x 90 mins.) • Daily late-afternoon sun salutations (30 mins.) • Daily talks, satsang, Q&A sessions (60 mins.) • Daily meditation class (mantras, music & sounds) (30 mins.) • Optional daily spiritual cinema – inspirational movies on the big screen • Complimentary use of the in-house sauna & steam room facilities 5-DAY YOGA RETREAT: SUNDAY 26 DECEMBER – THURSDAY 30 DECEMBER, THB 47,500 The Yoga Retreat This exclusive yoga retreat at one of South-East Asia’s premier Destination Spas offers a potent blend of 5 hours daily yoga & meditation practice, delicious healthy eating at the Six Senses Slow Food Restaurant and a daily complimentary massage treatment at the award-winning in-house spa. An accomplished cross-country skier in his youth, Switzerland-born Julien Balmer traveled extensively during his early twenties – seeking adventure and thirsting for the unknown and new. His search was amply rewarded when he became acquainted with the vastness of the authentic yoga system in the Himalayan foothills near Rishikesh in early 2002. It was there that he met Swami Vivekananda Saraswati, an accomplished Yogi who initiated him into the tradition of Hatha- and Kundalini-Yoga.
Serving as a senior resident teacher at the Agama Yoga Thailand headquarters and facilitating an extensive array of transformational Mind/Body modalities at some of the world’s most renown spiritual health & healing resorts, Julien is a dedicated and passionate full-time yogi bringing almost a full decade of experience in yoga, the healing arts and consciousness studies.
He has been praised not only for helping to induce meditative states but also for his ability to consistently inspire transformative experience amongst his students. He looks forward to helping you rediscover the unique language of your soul and to nurturing your rebirth into a Universe where you are your own master. |
