เชิญร่วมเปิดงานนิทรรศการ ศิลปะ ดนตรี บทกวี “เพลงคลื่นขับขาน”โดย วารี วายุ และเพื่อนเพื่อน
โดยมี คุณสุชาติ สวัสดิ์ศรี ศิลปินแห่งชาติ ให้เกียรติเป็นประธานเปิดงาน ในวันศุกร์ ที่ 4 พฤษภาคม 2555 ตั้งแต่เวลา 13.00 น เป็นตันไป / ลุงตรึก ปลอดฤทธิ์ ศิลปินพื้นบ้านมาออกแขกลิเกป่าเปิดงาน /อ. กลิ่น คงเหมือนเพชร
อ.ยรรยง แก้วใหญ่,อ. พยอม จันนิ่ม ,อ.ปริทรรศหุตางกูร และเพื่อนกวีจากหลายจังหวัดมาร่วมอ่านบทกวี / ฟังดนตรีรองแง็ง จาก อ.สมพร คงขึม,เพลงอคูสติก จาก ขวัญ – ครรชิต แต่พันธ์,บทเพลง จากกลุ่มใต้สวรรค์ และเพื่อนพ้องนักดนตรีอีกหลายท่าน
วาระเดียวกันมีกิจกรรมเปิด “ลานหนังสือ หอศิลป์” พบกับ จเด็จ กำจรเดช นักเขียนรางวัลซีไรท์ ปี 2554 นำขบวนนักเขียนมากมาย มาร่วมสนทนาเรื่องการอ่านหนังสือกับชาวกระบี่
ในงานนี้มีบู๊ทหนังสือจากหลายสำนักพิมพ์ อาทิ สำนักพิมพ์ รูปจันทร์, สำนักพิมพ์ นาคร, สำนักพิมพ์ ผจญภัย, สำนักพิมพ์ ใบไม้ป่า, สำนักพิมพ์ ในดวงใจ, สำนักพิมพ์สามัญชน ฯลฯ มาแสดงและจำหน่ายด้วย

Asia’s Fastest Growing Destination Marathon Set for Record
Hundreds of runners from around the world will “Run Paradise” in the seventh annual Laguna Phuket International Marathon on Sunday, 10 June, to re-affirm its status as Asia’s fastest growing family-friendly destination marathon.
International registrations opened in October and since then entries have surged ahead of the same period last year, with total international entries now close to 1,000.
Local entries opened on 1 April to great enthusiasm and the final number is expected to exceed last year’s record of some 5,000 participants from 45 countries.
The biggest international group so far is Japan, with more than 200 runners, followed by Singapore (96) and Hong Kong (78).
Year-on-year growth since the inaugural 2006 event with less than 2,000 runners makes Laguna PhuketInternational Marathon Asia’s biggest and fastest growing destination marathon.
Its “Run Paradise” tagline is an apt description, with runners of all ages and abilities on a mainly flat course that takes in rubber and pineapple plantations, beach views, local villages and the tropical lagoons of Laguna Phuket - all in a family-friendly carnival atmosphere.
As well as the full marathon there’s a 21.1km half marathon and 10.5km run, with families catered for with the 91.5FM 5km community walk and 2km children’s race.
A two-day expo with sponsor booths and fun activities around Laguna Phuket will stoke the carnival atmosphere.
Event Director, Roman Floesser, of organiser Go Adventure Asia, said: “We encourage runners to enjoy the scenery and have a fantastic race experience instead of pushing themselves to achieve personal best times.
“It’s all about participation and having fun in a great atmosphere.”
Runners are encouraged to take part in fundraising for Laguna Phuket’s community initiative to support local schools with a new Mobile Library Learning Centre to bring much needed reading and educational resources to remote rural schools on a routine basis.

On Friday, April 27th, Bang Tao’s new Bliss Beach Club will be hosting its own special ‘Beach Ball’…island style. Kick off your shoes and dig your toes in the sand as the sun sets in support of the Phuket Has Been Good To Us Foundation.
Guests will be treated to a gourmet dinner, free‐flowing wine and beer and the blues stylings of Pjae Stanley plus a silent auction and raffle packed with cruises, hotel stays, gift vouchers, spa treatments and more donated by generous merchants. During the night, surprise performances will entertain the guests and after dinner DJ Jay Leshark will keep the music pumping for a night of dancing under the stars. The dress code for ladies is “colours of the ocean” (creativity is encouraged), and gentlemen, beach casual (no ties required).
The event is kindly sponsored by Bliss Beach Club, Phuket News, 89.5, BB&B and the Andaman Wine Club. All proceeds will go to support English language education programs and extra curricular activities in government schools in Phuket.
“We were originally established after the Tsunami of 2004 to help the children who had been orphaned but we’ve expanded our programs now to reach over 860 students,” said Peter Hamilton, Fundraising Chair, Board of Directors. “Our mission is to improve the economic opportunities and life chances of these young people, by providing English language education. Our sponsors and supporters of events like this, help fund these critical programs.”
About the charity: Phuket Has Been Good To Us Foundation is a Thai registered charity, which aims to foster vocational opportunities for Thai children through English. We teach English to over 860 children in two Government schools in Phuket, including 150 orphans who reside at the school. We aim to provide the best possible English language education by placing qualified, fluent English speaking teachers in classrooms. We help Thai youth become capable and confident English speakers so that they can secure well‐paid employment.
