Bangkok / Recently, Bangkok Airways appointed Global Aviation Services Pvt. Ltd as its General Sales Agent (GSA) for India. In this occasion, Mr. Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth, Bangkok Airways’ President (centre) together with Peter Wiesner, vice president of network management (2nd right), Mr. Varong Israsena Na Ayudhya Deputy Sales Director – Online and Offline (left) and Mr. Komkrit Ngamwongwirot, Senior Sales Manager – Strategy Planning (right) welcomed Mr. Prabodh Tipnis, Executive Director of Global Aviation Services Pvt. Ltd (2nd left) at Bangkok Airways head quarter.

Bangkok Airways will begin its Bangkok – Mumbai service on 2 March and Bangkok – Dhaka on 27 March 2011. Currently, Bangkok Airways flies to seven domestic routes: Chiang Mai, Lampang, Sukhothai, Pattaya (U-Tapao), Trat, Phuket, Samui and Krabi and seven international routes: Hong Kong, Singapore, Luang Prabang, Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Yangon and Maldives. The fleet consists of 17 aircrafts (8 ATRs, 3 Airbus A320s and 6 Airbus A319s).
