ปัจจุบัน ไลฟ์สไตล์ของนักท่องเที่ยวยุคใหม่ได้เปลี่ยนแปลงไป ความคาดหวังจากการท่องเที่ยว ไม่ใช่แค่ความเพลิดเพลินในการไปเยี่ยมชมตามสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวต่างๆ ซื้อของ หรือรับประทานอาหารอร่อยๆ เท่านั้น แต่เป็น “ประสบการณ์” การเดินทางที่ แตกต่าง ดังนั้น ที่พักของนักท่องเที่ยวกลุ่มนี้ (ที่มีจำนวนมากขึ้นเรื่อยๆ) จึงไม่ใช่เป็นเพียงสถานที่หลับนอน แต่จะเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของประสบการณ์เดินทาง ในอุตสาหกรรมการท่องเที่ยว คำว่า “บูติก” กลายมาเป็นจุดขายของสถานที่หรือการ ให้บริการ เพราะนั่นหมายถึงการมีบุคลิกและจุดขายที่แตกต่าง เช่น ดีไซน์ที่โดดเด่น แนวความคิดในการสร้างที่น่าสนใจ ไอเดียที่แปลกแหวกแนว การบริการเฉพาะบุคคลหรือกลุ่ม ที่หาไม่ได้จากที่อื่น เป็นต้น ซึ่งหากประสบความสำเร็จจากสภาวะที่มีการแข่งขันสูง โรงแรมบูติกขนาดเล็กยิ่งต้องพัฒนาคุณภาพและศักยภาพของตนให้โดดเด่นและมี ประสิทธิภาพ ดังนั้น การท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย ในฐานะองค์กรของรัฐ ที่ช่วยประชาสัมพันธ์ด้านการท่องเที่ยวของประเทศไทย บริษัท เนชั่น มัลติมีเดีย กรุ๊ป จำกัด โดยหนังสือพิมพ์กรุงเทพธุรกิจ ในฐานะองค์กรสื่อที่มีคุณภาพ และ บริษัท บัตรกรุงไทย จำกัด (มหาชน) ในฐานะองค์กรที่เป็นผู้นำทางด้าน Creativity ได้เล็งเห็นความสำคัญของการส่งเสริมการพัฒนาและการเพิ่มขีดความสามารถในการ แข่งขันจึงได้จัดทำโครงการประกวด Thailand Boutique Awards ขึ้นเป็นครั้งแรก เพื่อส่งเสริมและ สนับสนุนด้านการตลาดให้กับโรงแรมบูติกขนาดเล็ก เพื่อให้สามารถยืนหยัดและแข่งขันในอุตสาหกรรมท่องเที่ยวได้อย่างมั่นคงและ ถาวร
การท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย KTC และ Master Card เปิดตัวโครงการประกวดโรงแรมบูติคขนาดเล็กครั้งแรกในไทย “Thailand Boutique Award2010″ เพื่อร่วมสนับสนุนอุตสาหกรรมการท่องเที่ยว พร้อมทั้งเปิดเวทีให้ผู้ประกอบการโรงแรมทั่วประเทศสร้างโอกาสให้เป็นที่ รู้จักในกลุ่มผู้บริโภคมากยิ่งขึ้น โดยเป้าหมายในการจัดประกวดเพื่อเฟ้นหาโรงแรมบูติคขนาดเล็กตั้งแต่ 4-50 ห้อง ที่มีคุณภาพโดดเด่นในด้านต่างๆ จากทุกภูมิภาคทั่วไทยเพื่อรับรางวัลมากถึง 61 รางวัล โดยโรงแรมที่สนใจสามารถสมัคร และส่งผลงานเข้าประกวดได้แต่วันที่ -31กรกฎาคม 2553 ทางเวปไซต์ www.thailandboutiqueawards.com การตัดสินและประกาศผู้เข้ารอบประกวดวันวันที่ 31 สิงหาคม 2553 และระหว่างวันที่ 17 กันยายน – 10 ตุลาคม 2553 บล๊อกเกอร์ผู้มากประสบการณ์ด้านการท่องเที่ยวจะเข้าไปเยี่ยมชมและสำรวจ โรงแรมที่ผ่านเข้ารอบ จากนั้นในวันที่ 11 ตุลาคม-12 พฤศจิกายน 2553 คณะกรรมการตัดสินจะร่วมกันพิจารณาคัดเลือกโรงแรมเพื่อได้รับรางวัล โดยจะประกาศผลรางวัลโครงการ “Thailand Boutique Awards 2010″ ในวันที่ 17 พฤศจิกายน 2553 *ผู้สนใจสามารถสอบถามรายละเอียดเพิ่มเติมได้ที่อีเมล์ www.thailandboutiqueawards@ktc.co.th หรือ

PHUKET (23 June 2010) Absolute World Group today announced that the firm has appointed Jones Lang LaSalle as condominium managers for its two new boutique properties in Phuket – Absolute Bangla Suites and Absolute Nakalay Beach Resort.
